2020 has been a crazy year and as my husband and I have just made over 1 year of marriage and we have an almost 6 month old son, we have been figuring out a routine and what‘s best for our new and growing family. As I am blessed to be a stay at home wife and mom, I have the opportunity to put my focus and effort towards my family and home, such as, striving to use as much natural products as I can in our home. It’s crazy how many toxins and chemicals there are in the majority of products we use in everyday life. Honestly though, even some “clean“ brands aren’t as natural as you would think! The struggle I went through of finding a truly clean, natural brand, that was affordable, that I didn’t have a reaction to.. It was kind of a hassle. It wasn’t impossible, but a hassle. It wasn’t long until I just wondered if there was an easier, more affordable way to bring natural products into our home. I finally decided to do some research and found out it wasn’t as difficult as I thought to just MAKE MY OWN natural products! Like really??? I am not a crafty, DIY kind of person and I pretty much don’t have any hobbies (for real though) so when I figured out I could make my own items I was a little (okay a lot) excited!! It will be a little while before I can switch more items to my own products but so far I made: Toothpaste, Face/Body Lotion, Deodorant, Face Wash and Baby Laundry Detergent. This is something I can say I really have a passion for —knowing I can trust these items to be natural and clean. I have been asked by a couple of people if I’m going to be selling any of the products and honestly I’m open to the idea. My main thought is to do this for my family, allowing only the best or as I like to say “a Lau only the best” (cheesy I know). We each get to choose what we think is best for our family and going with homemade natural products is what I think will be what‘s best for mine. However, I am so excited about making my products that I am ready to make more!
